“Learn to Skate” levels have returned to the Basic Skills class titles and descriptions.
Details of each level…
Stinger 1-3
Designed for kids ages 3-5 to build confidence while learning to skate incorporating fun and games. First time skaters ages 3-5 years old may register if accompanied on-ice by a parent or mature helper. There is no additional cost for the helper. Helper only required for initial 8-week session.
Basic 1-6
The Basic Skills curriculum is available to skaters ages 6 & up who are taking their first steps on the ice. The main focus of this curriculum are the FUNdamentals of ice skating: Agility, Balance, Coordination and Speed.
Adults/Teens
The adult/teen curriculum is designed for both beginning and experienced adult skaters (ages 13+) who wish to improve their skating skills. Participation in the program will help promote physical fitness and improve balance and coordination while teaching proper skating techniques.
ASPIRE! (For Skaters level Pre-Freeskate - Freestyle 6, who have passed Basic 6) The U.S. Figure Skating Aspire program is the bridge between learn to skate group classes and U.S. Figure Skating membership. Through the development of athleticism and artistry, skaters build a solid skill foundation that drives success on and off the ice.
